A close relative of the rare, true Egyptian Blue Lotus, Nymphaea nouchali — known in Ayurvedic tradition as Nilotpala — has been used for centuries as a rejuvenating botanical and natural aphrodisiac. Its key alkaloids — nuciferine and aporphine — promote relaxation, gentle euphoria, sensual awareness, and a softly dreamlike state.
